I find product reliability and customer satisfaction particularly annoying. I look forward to having extremely variable products that don't meet my needs at all! On a more serious note.... Quality is here to stay. Customers have come to expect quality. Perhaps people don't talk about quality or apply for awards related to quality because they are WAY TOOOO BUSY trying to DO QUALITY. This trend toward quality will accelerate as integrated quality managements systems that incorporate quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental quality are adopted by more and more organizations. Saying quality is dead is very sexy. Unfortunately, based on the amount of activity out there and the rising demand for quality professions, the saying is not a true one.
