Script PS output and LPR in TCP/IP V2 for VM

As threatened/promised, a summary of the current status of printing
Postscript output from IBM's Script using IBM's LPR in TCP/IP for VM
V2:

There is an open APAR, PN11718, to add a "binary" option to LPR so that
output from Script using DEV(PSA) and PSOUT(ASCII) can be printed on a
remote Postscript printer. If asked nicely, Level II will send out a
fix-test copy of this new LPR MODULE, but it is still an open APAR.
That test MODULE works well for our particular needs, but we aren't
using it for general purpose LPR use yet; we'll wait for a closed APAR
to replace our current production LPR MODULE.

One site pointed to a PSCLEAN program from VMShare and possibly other
sources, but it doesn't help with IBM's LPR MODULE, just with
replacements for it, as far as I could tell.

Thanks to all who responded,
Nick
