Portable radar

I know this has been hashed out a few times in here, however my email
program crashed recently and dumped a lot of old mail. I was wondering
about anyone's experiences with the portable doppler radar that is for sale
(JRC makes it I believe, $2k or so). I remember hearing good things about
it, but wanted to make sure.
Also I have a couple of more specific questions - first, can the data be
output to a PC? If I recall it comes with a mono screen, however the
ability to dump it into a laptop in-field would be very useful. Also there
were some debates about it's ability (or lack thereof) with relative and
absolute dB readings. Thoughts?
Finally, does anyone out there have a picture of this radar unit? I
remember someone mounting it on their pickup truck - any pics of that? I
am considering mounting it on my SUV along with the rest of my radio gear
on top of the truck, but I have not seen any pictures of the unit anywhere
and cannot make an educated guess as to whether or not I can do this. A
web site or email attachment w/ pics would be hugely appreciated!
One more thought for the future - as I am an engineer with a wireless
carrier and am radiofrequency (RF) safety trained and certified, I might
experiment with increasing the power a bit to add some range while inside a
storm - but more on this later if I do it...

Thanks a ton!
