In the words of a Dallas Police Dep. Chief who was called to jury duty
and question by one attorney during voir dire, "would you accept the
word of a Police Officer as always truthful?" His response, "I am in
charge of Police Communications, I get all kinds of Officers assigned
to work for me and I have found that they are no more or less truthful
that the population in general."

I submit that just because a Policeman said does not impute it with
any special veracity.
