Hello,

I have a user who has many 5.1 documents.  She opens these documents using
Word 6.0.1, makes some modifications and then when prompted to save the doc
as a version 5.1 or version 6 doc, chooses ver 6 in order to update the doc
to her new Word environment.  The problem is when she opens the doc later, 
everything is gone,  some information whether it be text or a table is
either
missing or where it was there is now nothing but gibberish -- she has to
retype the document.

Also, because this has occurred when she saves as ver 6, she tried to save
the docs in ver 5.1.  It will allow her to do this, but later when she opens
the document again it has garbled portions of the document.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this????  We are thinking this has
to be a bug in the software.


Any comments and/or suggestions are highly welcomed.
