SOFTWARE

     1. The following software is available on our anonymous ftp
server rhino.cis.vutbr.cz (or via our mail server):

	     File: xgettext.tar.Z
Comment: UNIX's xgettext program (includes source code).
The following description comes from xgettext's
			man page:

   Description

xgettext is used to automate the creation of portable message files.
A portable message file contains copies of "C" strings that are found in
     "C" source code.

[Thanks to Neal Dalton (nrd@lenti.med.umn.edu) for the
	      reference to the xstr program]

     2. The file pub/lists/insoft/master-index on our anonymous ftp server
contains an "ls -lR" listing of all available files related to
the INSOFT-L Internationalization of Software mailing list.

ADMINISTRIVIA

     1. The level of traffic on INSOFT-L has increased recently. That's
good. In fact, two discussions generated several messages each.

Tip: If the topic of a discussion gradually shifts away from the
original message that started the discussion, don't be
afraid to change the "Subject: " header in your message to
more accurately reflect the new topic.
