Hi, Henrik! In terms of capability they are very similar. The BDE does more easily support access to a variety of databases from a single (unchanging) program because of its alias concept. For more on the BDE, visit borland.public.cppbuilder.database.desktop. I have used both and they are both quite good component sets, so whicever you choose will be able to do the job with quite similar performance. ------ Mark Cashman (TeamB - C++ Builder), creator of The Temporal Doorway at http://www.temporaldoorway.com - Original digital art, writing, music and more - C++ Builder / JBuilder Tips and The C++ Builder Programmer's Webring (Join us!) http://www.temporaldoorway.com/programming/index.htm ------
