I work with Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere 7.0 and Builder C++ 6.0. I connect to my database via ADO through "ASAProv" provider, OLE DB Provider for Sybase, and my connection string is the follow: "Provider=ASAProv;User ID=myUser;Password=myPassword;Data Source=X" "ADOConnection.Open()" runs OK but when I try request data to any table with "ADOQuery.Open()"... It shows the error "Object or provider is not capable of performing requested operation" Why?, I need any solution. Does the "TADOQuery object" have any special properties? I need connect to through OLE DB Provider for Sybase, not OLE DB Provider for ODBC. Thank you very much

It may be that it is just not possible. The first place to look is on the sybase website. You might also consider posting to an ASA newsgroup.

The most common type would be ctStatic and clUseClient. Mark
