Hello all...
I am trying to figure out the best way of using Borland's
MIDAS stuff to retrieve multiple result sets from a single query
posted to a number of different servers running the same database
schema. Is there any neat way of combining all of these into a single
dataset other than by the slow method of copying each individual
record into a temporary table? The TBatchMove component is of no use,
since the TClientDataSet component is not descended from TBDEDataSet.
So far the test application I have written can happily
retrieve the individual result sets and I can view each of them
individually. Another problem I am facing is how to open each of the
TClientDataSets in a separate thread for concurrency, but I have put
that problem in the "too hard" basket for the moment. I am very new to
the wonderful world of multi-tier database applications, so any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
Regards,
Alex Ip
