The following code works fine on my development system, but when deployed to
other
machine, I get error:
---
try {
Database1->Connected = false;
Database1->DatabaseName = "db";
Database1->DriverName = "ORACLE";
Database1->Params->Clear();
Database1->Params->Add("Server Name=deployPC");
Database1->Params->Add("User Name=scott");
Database1->Params->Add("Password=tiger");
Database1->Connected = true;
}
catch(EDatabaseError &e) {
ShowMessage(e.Message);
}
---
The error message is: Object not found.
The deployed machine does not have BDE alias. (But, I think it is OK since
it works
OK when tested without an alias on my machine.)
What does that mean? I would appreciate someone's help here.
Thanks.
