(sorry, I forgot the carriage returns)...

If I remember correctly, I had the same problem but when I 
manually registered the ActiveX (DLL) using something like 
regsvr32 xyz.dll it magically appeared in the drop down list of 
providers (assuming both server and client are on the same 
machine).  If they are on different machines then just manually 
type in the provider name and it should work anyway.
