Hi, Howard!

Make sure you have CachedUpdates = true, and in the AfterPost event do
ApplyUpdates() and CommitUpdates().

I have found that works well. In theory, you only need to call
CommitUpdates() when the program terminates, but if you do things that
way, you need to make sure that it will be called even when there is an
error.
