Greetings,

I'm having a problem binding the app. server dispatch interface in my
client app. using a socket connection.  The platform is BCB ver. 5
Enterprise, and the OS is Windows 2000 Professional.

I built the "adhoc" project in \Examples\Midas, which uses a DCOM
connection and it works fine.  When I substitute a socket connection and
try to bind the dispatch interface to a local object in the client, the
IsBound() method returns false.

I'm using the socket server executable supplied with BCB5 and both the
client, socket server, and application server are running on the same
PC.  The code snippet is:

    IAdHcDMDisp AdhcServ;

    if ( !SocketConnection1->Connected  )
        {
            SocketConnection1->Connected = true;
        }

    AdhcServ.Bind(SocketConnection1->GetServer());

    if ( !AdhcServ.IsBound() )
        {
            ShowMessage("Can't Bind - Aborting!");

            SocketConnection1->Connected = false;

            return;
        }

The application server fires up normally, but the Bind() method fails.
Hope someone can put me on the proper path.
