Hi developers, this is request for comment - thanx in advance for your answers. I've developed c++ application running on WinNT PCs on local network using central database on server. Now I'd like to rewrite it to be suitable for intranet/internet. That means C/S - data server + calculations server (both c++) and either c++ or java thin client. What I'm unsure is how to communicate data (structures, calculation results, etc.). My first idea is some kind of proprietary protocol over TCP/IP possibly using html or xml. Then come to my mind CORBA and object passing but I'm afraid it's too complex as I've got approximately six months for this and I have no experience with CORBA neither in c++ nor in java. Any ideas are welcome. Pavel Stejgerle pavel.stejgerle@seznam.cz
