Folks, I am developing a program and I've choosen to statically link the libraries. All worked fine a couple of version ago, running the program on a basic XP machine but now I get the error STLPMT45.DLL WAS NOT FOUND. Can't find any info on what the DLL does so I'm not sure what I added to cause this problem and the biggest problem please help me solve it. Thanks in advance.

It is part of the Standard Template Library, the STL. It is part of what came with the compiler and on my machine is found in the compiler's BIN directory Search the compiler's distribution CD and if you find a copy then copy it over to your machine. If you can't find a copy then I think you'd have to reinstall to get it. . Thanks Ed for the response, but the real question is why suddenly do I need that DLL when (1) I'm not using an STL related functions (2) I'm using Statically linked libraries. I'd like to distribute the program as 1 exe file. Thanks, Marshall "Ed Mulroy" <dont_email_me@bitbuc.ket> wrote: >It is part of the Standard Template Library, the STL. > >It is part of what came with the compiler and on my machine is found in the >compiler's BIN directory > >Search the compiler's distribution CD and if you find a copy then copy it >over to your machine. Under Project|Options|Linker uncheck Use Dynamic RTL Under Project|Options|Packages uncheck Build With Runtime Packages If the result is that you changed one of the above then do a File|Save_All followed by a Project_Build. Afterwards, go to the command line, move to the project directory and give this command: (assuming ProgName.exe is the program) tdump -em. ProgName.exe (don't overlook the period at the end of the -em. ) That will show what DLL's the program requires. It should show only DLL's that Windows supplies. If it shows some non-Windows DLL's then check what is required by any 3rd party libraries that you are using. .
