I am trying to deploy an app that uses a Paradox database. I have the InstallShield that comes with Builder 5. I know that InstallShield includes the appropriate dlls and so on. How do I get InstallShield to create the alias I need and how do I handle it if I want to install the data files in a different directory? Thanks

Hi, In the "Specify InstallShield Options for Borland C++ Builder" there is a General Options Section. In there you select BDE (Borland Database Engine) and then click on the Settings button. After selecting the type of install (Full or Partial) click on the Next button and you'll get to the place where the Aliases are defined.
