I've been trying to create a resource DLL for a component package - well two
actually.  One is design time and the other runtime.  They both have string
resources and forms.

I've taken the reinit.pas file from the RichEdit demo and modified the code
to only update a given form (otherwise the code attempts to update all of
the IDE).

The problems.

1. The Resource DLL wizard will not work for packages - it complains it
needs an open project !!!

2. Running the External Translation Manager in BCB6 creates a DLL but the
paths to the DFM's are wrong.  I managed to correct this so I can at least
get the DLL to compile.  I've managed to modify a form and explicitly call a
method to reinitialise the form with a set locale ID but:

    a) I set up a VMware environment with the new locale.  I dropped the
resource DLL into the same location as the BPL but the change is not
automatic like it is with applications (at least that is what the help file
says).

    b) I cannot get string resources to be including (or exported) in the
DLL.  I just get blank strings being returned.

Does anyone have any experience in creating resource DLL's for packages ?
