Hi !

Imagine:
Windows 2000 with system locales set to German. I want to display Russian
text.

const char rus_text[] = {0xea, 0xe5, 0xf4, 0xf6, 0xe4, 0xeb, 0xf1, 0xf4,
0xfb, 0xf1, 0xec, 0xe8, 0xff, 0x00};

TLabel* label;
TButton* button;

label->Font->Name = "Arial Unicode MS"
label->Font->Charset = RUSSIAN_CHARSET;
label->Caption = rus_text;

and Russian characters are shown as expected.

button->Font->Name = "Arial Unicode MS"
button->Font->Charset = RUSSIAN_CHARSET;
button->Caption = rus_text;

and garbage is shown.

Why ?

On German Windows 98 or on W2K with Russian system locales this works just
fine even on TButton and Russian characters are shown.

Do the Windows controls ignore the font character set on W2K, while they
don't do so on W98 ?
How do I make it work under W2K ?
I don't want to force the user to log in as Administrator and change the
system locales just because of displaying a few Russian characters !

Regards

            Petr Sulla
