I did it inside a timer. i check the status of the Client in OnStatus. it works but now i have this problem. when the timer calls Noop then there is a responce from the server that says No-op OK. that responce arrives in about 1 second after the noop call. if i try in that second to view the contents of a folder (or do anything) the program stucks. it causes a lot of exceptions (both from the client and from the timer) and then i try to close the form and there is a messsage (connection closed gracefully) and then the program terminates. i have also an IdAntifreeze dropped on the form. I don't know if it does anything...???
