You SHOULD NOT be doing ANYTHING with TIdFTP while it is in the middle of
processing a command/response.  You risk corrupting the communication by
doing so.  Let it do its work, and only do things in between commands.  Like
I said earlier, disable your timer while TIdFTP is busy doing something.
