I am trying to use IIdNNTP.
Here is a member function of that component.

procedure GetNewNewsList(const ANewsgroups: string; const ADate: 
TDateTime; const AGMT: boolean; ADistributions: string; AList: 
TStrings); overload;

What is this string datatype?


My code to test it:

	TStringList *NewMessages = new TStringList;
         const AnsiString Distributions("nj");
         TDateTime dt;
         dt = dt.CurrentDateTime();
         dt -= 2/24; //messages in last two hours
         IdNNTP1->GetNewNewsList(  NewsGroups[0], dt , false, 				 
Distributions,  *(Memo1->Lines));


         delete NewMessages;
My compiler error:

The compiler cannot find a match for TIdNNTP:GetNewNewsList(const 
AnsiString, TDateTime, bool, const AnsiString, TStrings).

I am guessing that AnsiString is not good, I need string.
I tried declaring string types and using them - no good.
in desparation Tried pointers to char - no good.

Can this component even be used in CBuilder?

If so can someone please tell me how?
