Hi there, How to set Proxy Setting for TClientSocket, so that it can coonect to any remote machine outside of its LAN by using specified Proxy. I am using C++ Builder 6. Thanks, Nil.

You have to implement the proxy support in your own code. For instance, if you want to use a SOCKS server, then you have to set the TClientSocket to connect to the proxy's IP/Port and then send a formatted SOCKS request to the proxy to tell it where to connect to next. I cannot do that. You will have to read up on the relavant RFCs for
yourself, ie:
RFC 1928 - SOCKS Protocol Version 5
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1928.txt
Tunneling TCP based protocols through Web proxy servers
http://www.web-cache.com/Writings/Internet-Drafts/draft-luotonen-web-proxy-tunneling-01.txt
Just to name a couple. There are other proxy types available.
Otherwise, I would suggest switching to a TCP library that has native proxy
support already implemented. Indy, for example, has components that can be
attached to a connection for transparent proxying.
