Hi, this is my first letter here.. I have a little problem with Indy. If I place a TIdAntiFreeze component at design-time and compile my project, I get this error: "[Linker Error] Unresolved external 'Idantifreeze::TIdAntiFreeze::' referenced from C:\TEST\UNIT1.OBJ" The are also some other components which cause a similar error. Also I want to use the FileSizeByName() function, defined in IdGlobal.hpp. The same error: "[Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idglobal::FileSizeByName(System::AnsiString)' referenced from C:\TEST\UNIT1.OBJ" All other components works - no errors. I use Borland C++Builder 6 Pro. Can somebody help me please?

I have included the source and the "C6" directory and installed the
dclIndy60.bpl
> All other Indy components? Or just all other components in general?
I mean only the Indy components. These are the components, which cause the
errors:
TIdAntiFreeze
TIdIMAP4 (here are many C++ errors in IdCoderQuotedPrintable.hpp)
TIdRexec ([C++ Fehler] IdRexec.hpp(37): E2303 Typname erwartet
[C++ Fehler] IdRexec.hpp(38): E2303 Typname erwartet)
TIdFTPServer (here are many C++ errors in IdFTPServer.hpp
TIdMappedFTP (many C++ errors in IdMappedFTP.hpp)
TIdMappedPop3 ([C++ Fehler] Unit1.h(22): E2303 Typname erwartet
[C++ Fehler] Unit1.h(22): E2139 In
Deklaration fehlt ;
[C++ Fehler] Unit1.h(22): E2109 Kein
zulssiger Typ)
TIdMappedTelnet ( " )
TIdPOP3Server (many C++ errors in IdMailBox.hpp)
TIdSMTPServer (many C++ errors in IdIOHandlerSocket.hpp)
TIdIOHandlerSocket ( " )
TIdIOHandlerStream ( " )
TIdServerIOHandlerSocket ( " )
> Which version of Indy?
I have tried the Indy 9 snapshot, 9.0.17, 9.0.15 and 9.0.10. In all versions
I get the errors.

Did you actually install the Indy package into the IDE? With your application project loaded in the IDE, is the Indy package listed and checked in the "Install Packages" dialog? > TIdIMAP4 (here are many C++ errors in IdCoderQuotedPrintable.hpp) Such as? > TIdRexec ([C++ Fehler] IdRexec.hpp(37): E2303 Typname erwartet > [C++ Fehler] IdRexec.hpp(38): E2303 Typname erwartet) What eactly does the compiler think is unknown? > TIdFTPServer (here are many C++ errors in IdFTPServer.hpp Such as? > TIdMappedFTP (many C++ errors in IdMappedFTP.hpp) Such as? > TIdMappedPop3 ([C++ Fehler] Unit1.h(22): E2303 Typname erwartet > [C++ Fehler] Unit1.h(22): E2139 In > Deklaration fehlt ; > [C++ Fehler] Unit1.h(22): E2109 Kein > zulssiger Typ) What eactly does the compiler think is unknown? > TIdMappedTelnet ( " ) ??? > TIdPOP3Server (many C++ errors in IdMailBox.hpp) Such as? > TIdSMTPServer (many C++ errors in IdIOHandlerSocket.hpp) Such as? > TIdIOHandlerSocket ( " ) > TIdIOHandlerStream ( " ) > TIdServerIOHandlerSocket ( " ) ??? > I have tried the Indy 9 snapshot, 9.0.17, 9.0.15 and 9.0.10. Could you please compile for me the Indy source files for BCB6, so I only need to install them into the IDE? I do not need the source - only the compiled packages. I would be very grateful! best regards

Then your install of Indy is messed up. Have you tried completely removing it and completely recompiling it? > >> TIdRexec ([C++ Fehler] IdRexec.hpp(37): E2303 Typname erwartet > >> [C++ Fehler] IdRexec.hpp(38): E2303 Typname erwartet) > > > > What eactly does the compiler think is unknown? > > ?? Those are the complete errors. There is nothing more. Yes, but those errors do have filenames and line numbers in them. So what do the files actually look like at the places where the errors are occuring? Gambit

Hmmm... there are too many errors so I will install simply the old Indy components. Thank you for your help.
