Hello, i've a little Problem with my Indy FTP-Server. When i upload an Linux-Ascii File to the FTP-Server in Ascii - Mode, the Indy FTP-Server did not switch the control-chars.( from Linefeed to Linefeed Carriage Return ). The file will be always transfered in binary mode, but the property is still on Ascii. So it seems that the DataType property did not work correctly. What can i do ? Best regardes David

It is not actually used at all. The value is stored and nothing else is done with it. > What can i do ? There is nothing you can do, unless you want to update TIdFTPServer's source code yourself. Hello, thx for your quick answer. My Indy Version is 10.0.52. Can you give me some exaples how to setup the ascii - mode ? I've try to intercept the stream by the ConnectonIntercept component. I get the store file, list, etc. commands but no TCP/IP stream. How can i catch the File-Stream behind the FTP-Server ? thx in advance. TIdFTPServer always operates in binary mode only, as you have already noticed. > I've try to intercept the stream by the ConnectonIntercept component. > I get the store file, list, etc. commands but no TCP/IP stream. That is because transfers are handled using separate connections. You are hooking the main connection only, which does not perform any transers of its own, and TIdFTPServer does not provide any hooks into the secondary connections that are actually used for transfers. > How can i catch the File-Stream behind the FTP-Server ? You are responsible for providing the streams yourself to the server, via the OnStoreFile and OnRetreiveFile events. You can use whatever stream classes you want, even ones you write yourself. Gambit
