Hi, I'm evaluating the combination of cross-plattform development with C++Builder 6 and Kylix. So I downloaded the C++Builder evaluation for Windows and Kylix3 for Linux and startet with a clx-Project. Taking the clx-application project from Windows to Linux didn't work! The error message was something like "this version of the project file is not compatible". Taking a project from linux to windows worked at the first look, but it didn't compile. First the library-paths are wrong. (linux uses ":" and windows ";" as seperator for the paths) And second there was a error E2075 with an option -t. (the error message in German is: Ungltige Projekt berschreiben-Option: -t) What exactly is going wrong? What is the correct way to do cross-plattform development? (two project-files?) Or is there a problem with the evaluation version, fixed in the full version of the C++Builder? Thanks, Stefan.

No, there is no compatibility between project files. You can use a project conversion utility or rewrite the project file (adding sources files in the ide, I mean) Anyway, I want to tell you that clx under windows/bcb has many problems: look at my last messages in the newsgroup about bcb and delphi and kylix "Stefan Weigand" <weigand@ergo-solutions.com> ha scritto nel messaggio news:b0oe75$9a5$01$1@news.t-online.com... > Hi, > > I'm evaluating the combination of cross-plattform development with > C++Builder 6 and Kylix. There is a borland application pcu (proj. conv. utility) available on borland site in the same page in which bcb upgrades are available, if I remember well) bye masi urbano "Michael Sanders" <Michael.Sanders@hb.materna.de> ha scritto nel messaggio news:3e301b1c$2@newsgroups.borland.com... > > You can use a project conversion utility or rewrite the project file (adding > > sources files in the ide, I mean) > > I also have to convert BCB project files into Kylix project files.
