I have to build up a program using C++Builder which grabs images from an external device like a video camera, and then "freeze" and save as an image (various formats). I do know almost nothing of the topic, but I suppose there is a Windows common interface on this, and the key should be to use these APIs. Please anyone have hints to give? Where to start from?
