Hi,

I suppose you downloaded DirectX 8.0? Here are some of the steps I walked
through.

I installed DirectX in some folder under 'programs'

Since Microsoft always ships the uptodate header files for DirectX I renamed
all the files in the CppBuilder include file like dsound_old.h. You've got
to figure out what headers you need!

Then I set the path for my application like this:
First the CppBuilder include then DirectX include folder.

The first problem I faced was that Microsoft does not ship Borland
compatible libaries (you'll notice unresolved external things etc.). Go to
Michael Foetsch's site at: www.geocities.com/foetsch
He did a great job on providing us all the libs!!!!
Put the lib files in some folder like: ...DirectX.../lib/BorlandLibs
and link to it.

After that I got many other errors....
I finally got it work.
It depends on what part of DirectX you want to use. I'm working with
DirectMusic and DirectShow, so I can only tell you about the problems I
found there. Let me know what happened.

Good luck Nick
