lpdijoy->SetDataFormat(&c_dfDIJoystick) Trying to link this line of code produces this error: [Linker Error] Unresolved external '_c_dfDIJoystick' referenced from D:\MY DOCUMENTS\PROGRAMMING\MY EXAMPLES\JOYSTICK\MAIN.OBJ. Linked LIB files are ddraw.lib, dinput.lib, dinput8.lib. I have searched everywhere on the internet about this and the only conclusion I can come to is that Borland Builder is simply not compatible with DirectX (due to Microsoft I'm sure). I am looking for a way to read a joystick using DirectX. If anyone has overcome this problem, let me know. I am not interested in components (unless it is free and comes with source). I want to learn how to do it myself. Thanks, teroni
