How EXACTLY is trimSpace declared?  You say it is a string.  Is that an
AnsiString?  If so, then you have the same problem that you have earlier,
and you fix it the same way as before - use the string's c_str() method:

    SendMessageA(rich, WM_GETTEXT, getTrim, (LPARAM)trimSpace.c_str());

If that is not what you are referring to, then you need to provide more
details about what EXACTLY you are having a problem with.  This is a C++
group, not a VB, so please ask questions regarding C++, not VB.
