Put the "shell" Registry values under the following keys:

    for all files:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*

    for all folders:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder

For example:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
        *
            shell
                myverb
                (Default)="&Scan File"
                    command
                    (Default)="path to your exe "%1""
        Folder
            shell
                myverb
                (Default)="&Scan Folder"
                    command
                    (Default)="path to your exe "%1""
