I don't see C/S happening within the next 5-10 years. These are CP/M 1.4 (written for the 8080) ASM apps that have come up through the ranks to CCP/M-386 then DOS on Windows, then Win32Console, and now Win32Console in C. C/S would do what you say, and also cut back on bandwith (which is a barely noticable problem). But it's a whole other world. A complete rewrite/rework of my file library, and the migration of some app code as well, for the stored procedures. Probably 6 mo to a year of effort for what? A "nice" feature, and reduced bandwidth when I now flood the channel for maybe 15 minutes a day? A simple broadcast method would lessen the current problems, and Gigabit will do away with the bandwidth problem before I can get C/S stable. I will however, keep your recommend in mind should I change my mind...
