One method you might use is kind of brute force but is not too hard. Ship the target program with a file extension that is not EXE and with an icon you have created and a data block as large as he is likely to use. Also alter the first 1K or so of the file so that it cannot be easily identified as an EXE with a different extension. During installation replace the first 1K or so, search for the total icon data and replace with his icon. Search for the actual data block data and replace with his data. Make sure the data block starts with a size item so that you can handle whatever size he provides when it is smaller than the max. After replacing it, save as a file with an EXE extension. For the shipped item from which you will create the EXE I'd probably xor the whole file with some 32 bit value and leave out chunks that the installer would insert just to make his live miserable should he try to reverse engineer it. Note that he must be in Administrator mode to create the EXE and even then any anti-virus software may complain so might need to be disabled when doing the install. Side note: Your name is not "borland". Change your news reader name setting. .
