What > EXACTLY are you trying to accomplish? I need to read and write information in the registry that will be accessible by all users of the target system. This must be accessible by exactly the same registry path from each user. This must happen at run-time, and the keys cannot be pre-created at install time (when an admin may be logged-on). The keys must be accessible regardless of the permissions of the current user (assume minimum of the default "users group" permission level). HKEY_CURRENT_USER is just that - relevant for only the current user. When a different user logs-on, this branch of the registry is a completely different set of data. (That doesnt work for me). At the same time, I need to be able to create/edit these keys from a process run by a user with just "Users Group" permissions. I need to be able to do this at run-time. (Install time, where I might "require" an admin to do the installation doesnt work for me). What I would really like access to is HKLM so that it is exactly the same path for all users of the system. Is there a different root key I am missing that is accessible by all users, regardless of permissions? Thank You John.
