I am writing a very small flat file database program it uses 1 table and 7 Fields I was able to set the whole program up very easily with BCB 5. I set the program up so that a user can easily scroll through the records. however, the number of records is starting to get a quite large and scrolling is not a very good option. I know that there must be a way to set up a search function. I only need to search in the Last name field and have the program go to the record it finds. Is there an easy way set up a search? Ideally I would like to have an Edit box on the main form that the user can use to input the search string and perhaps a button to perform the action. Any Ideas? Thank you --
