No, that is not the way. What you asked was a directory listing. That is
the name of all files in a specific directory. What you suggest now
is something quite different as all the links in index.html may lead
to files in other directorys as index.html resides in. Moreover
you will then never get the not mentioned files in thet pages.

So you could start (as Eugene asked too) to exactly explain what you want.
