Indeed.

I have code that tries to determine all file extensions that may be
instantiated as embeddable COM objects that implement a certain
interface.

So, I iterate the registry, building a list of file extensions to file
types, then file types to CLSID, checking the insertable attribute and
so on, but I have to instantiate the objects to see the actual
interface. It takes two or three seconds for the lot (and I cache the
result). That includes Word, Excel, and a couple of dozen others.

Annoyingly, it takes twenty or thirty seconds in debug - which appears
to be the effect of CodeGuard.
