Hola,

Visual C++ 6.0 has also a good Image Editor that works with resouce files
and it is very easy to use.

Via an appropriate Image Editor you need to create, for example, a bitmap
image
and save it into a resouce file. The resource file can contain many bmp
images with different names
and icons.

This is an example of a project that contains a resource file called :
Splash.res. The name of the resource file is arbitrary
(you could have also called ir Bitmap.res, etc)

The resouce file should contain the Splash Bitmap called: SPLASH_BMP.  To
add the resource file to the project click on Project, and then Add to
Project..., select the file and click Open.

Usage example in your code
  // Load the Splash Screen Bitmap from Splash.res resource file
// into the bitmap object created above.
        pBitmap->LoadFromResourceName((unsigned int)HInstance,"SPLASH_BMP");
