It's the plug and play support in Win2K and higher that cause us grief when they try and mount volumes before we've hardly started creating it :( We're also looking at an extension to our hardware device. We already have a write blocker and it occurs to us that if we could make it block reads (returning NULLs) until we've finished laying the image down then flip into write blocking (to protect the evidential nature of the new volumes) then we would have a solution. -- Andrue Cope [Bicester, UK]
