I have a 3rd party library written in C which uses winsock2. I can compile the library using BCB3, but I can't compile it using BCB6. The BCB6 compiler clearly can't see any of the winsock2 definitions. Interestingly, the source doesn't actually #include winsock2.h. It only #includes windows.h. Was winsock2.h automatically included in BCB3 if windows.h was included, and has this situation changed for BCB6? In the dim and distant past we had some trouble porting this library to BCB3 as originally there were includes for winsock2.h, and these conflicted with definitions in windows.h. In the end we conditionally didn't include winsock2.h if BCB was being used. So I'm aware that the point where winsock2.h is included (if it's included at all) is pretty significant. Is there a way of getting this to work with both BCB3 and BCB6? -- Simon Elliott http://www.ctsn.co.uk/
