I looked into this in some detail a while ago, and the whole subject of disabling and stopping screensavers is something of a nightmare. W9x and NT handle things differently: W2K has its own screensaver desktop where the screensaver is run. And you're very dependent on the screensaver developer voluntarily doing the right thing. For what you're trying to do, it might be worth looking at the SPI_GETSCREENSAVEACTIVE and SPI_SETSCREENSAVEACTIVE parameters of the SystemParametersInfo API call. -- Simon Elliott http://www.ctsn.co.uk/
