Since I'm not familiar with 'AllocConsole' and 'WriteConsole' (I'll 
look them up) I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but if you're 
referring to a text cue on the screen for the user, I'm afraid that 
won't work too well.

The idea behind the program is to allow the user to enter codes to 
record what he/she sees through a microscope.  The beeps are to 
provide a cue without requiring the user to take their eyes away from 
the scope.
