Hi All, I would like to handle the mouse wheel on a TImage. The default Events of the TImage component does not allow to do it. I tried to use the WndProc to get the event but unsuccessfully. How can I do ? Many thanks in advance Christophe

You won't be able to, as TImage is not a windowed control, so it can't receive wheel messages from the OS. What you can do, however, is put the TImage onto a windowed control, such as a TScrollBox, and let it handle the scrolling for you. Gambit

Thanks for the input. It works fine. One more question : What is the Windows Message sent when the OnMouseWheel Event occurs ? If the OS natively supports a mouse wheel, then a WM_MOUSEWHEEL message is issued. On OS versions that don't natively support a mouse wheel, there is an add-on executable named MSWHEEL.EXE that can be installed which runs in the background and issues a message that is obtained via RegisterWindowMessage() instead. You can use the global TMouse::RegWheelMessage property to know what specific message ID is being used in that situation. Gambit
