Thanks dhoke. It seems Filemon and Regmon have been replaced by a single exe 
called Process Monitor

I downloaded it and restricted it to monitor files from my project 
directory. After 'making' the project I checked the list but I'm not sure 
what I'm looking for. There's no shortage of NAME NOT FOUND results due to 
it searching the path and there's a lot of temporary files etc. A nice bit 
of software but I'm none the wiser at the moment.
