Hi, Patrick! My upgrade also went fairly smoothly, except that changes in the ActiveX control notations did require some code changes. I also found that the IDE did not always convert projects well. If you have problems with loading converted projects, try creating the project from scratch. I also recommend you set up your default project options in BCB4 before you start. Check everything. Note that the compiler section now defaults to quad word alignment, which I was not comfortable with. If you have third party components you must get new versions of them. What is the bug that is forcing your upgrade? Generally I would avoid panic mode upgrades. ------ Mark Cashman (TeamB - C++ Builder), creator of The Temporal Doorway at http://www.temporaldoorway.com - Original digital art, writing, music and more - C++ Builder / JBuilder Tips and The C++ Builder Programmer's Webring (Join us!) http://www.temporaldoorway.com/programming/index.htm ------
