Use .NET's Arraylist class as your array to store rows/fields that you 
retrieved from the dataset table.

Arraylist ar = new Arraylist();

foreach DataRow r in DataSet1.Tables["yourTableName"].Rows
{
    string fieldValue = (string)r["fieldname"];
    ar.add(fieldValue);
}
