You should not add code to the InitializeComponent() method becuase it's maintainded by the IDE. any lines thats not recognized are deleted. place code after the InitializeComponent() in the contructor. Its better to add eventhandlers in the the form_load event. - it saves resources in the case where you instansiate a form but only call the show() method later. (just personal prefrence.)
