Hi,
I get the following error Message with ibserver 7.1 and an interclient
4.0:
symbol : method getServerManager (java.lang.String,java.lang.String)
location: class interbase.interclient.DataSource
interbase.interclient.ServerManager service =
dataSource.getServerManager ("sysdba", "masterkey");
The documentation states:
A server manager object is obtained thru a DataSource using
DataSource.getServerManager()
Can anybody help?
Thanks.
Sven

Sorry for the previous posting. I think it was quite unclear. Another try: I work with Interbase 7.1 and interclient 4.5 on solaris. I would like to backup, shutdown, restore etc. a database from a java application. The documentation suggests to obtain a ServerManager-Object thru the getServerManager-function in class DataSource, unfortunately this function doesn't exist. .. so I work currently with system-calls. Isn't there any better solution? Sven.
