After that you can then think about even more advanced methods for which you will need to understand how ClassLoaders work in java. With these you can do really smart stuff like load modules by scanning a directory for jar files when your app starts and adding these to a URLClassLoader then looking for config files in these which tell your module loader which classes to use for what purpose and loading/init them dynamically. My app does this and so adding a new module is as simple as dumping a new jar with classes/images etc in a /ext directory and away it goes the app changes dynamically... But there is a lot to know before you can pull this off. Look here for some more clues about this... This guy writes some interesting articles on java... ClassLoaders and hot deploy... http://www.smotricz.com/kabutz/Issue022.html Other articles... http://www.smotricz.com/kabutz/ Hope this helps...
