how do i call up and send mail in x 400 protocol

do there excist any class that hands this ?
api for smtp are ok, but x.400 is a real problem.

situation
application behind firewall, get a msg to send an email to a recipient, this
goes via an x.400 mailserver before it's sent outside the firewall before it
reaches the smtptranslater. So, i need to call x.400 api in java..

any knowledge on this subject, anyone ?
