getGlassPane()

My program's main window is a JFrame. Under certain circumstances I
want to 2 lines from the upper left to lower rignt and lower left to
upper right on the Canvas.

It soulds like the glassPane() feature is what I would like to do. I use
the setGlassPane() method passing my own class that extends Canvas. I
use the getGlassPane() method to retrieve myCanvas() object and call
it's repaint() method. Unfortunatly the paint method() for that object
never gets called. I also tried calling a method in my canvas object
that aquires the graphics object so do my line drawing. I know the
function is called but I never see the lines on the screen.

Anyone have any experience using the glassPane's functionality from
JFrame?

Thanks.

Dean
